Hi Venus and Serena, I,m a ( hindoe) man age 31 living in the Netherlands. I never watch tennis on the telly, till I see you both playing outstanding tennis, i've never seen before. You both have weapons to compete against everyone. God bless you both with this. Anyway you both give melot's of thinking to do. Because I always felt deep down inside, since i was a kid, tennis is the game for me, but never do something with it. When I was 19 years I never saw a darkskin on the prof. tennisfield, this also kept me away from tennis, because i was afraid people would laugh at me. I do played table tennis when I was young, but not what I want. Actually never do other sports till now. I have the feeling that i can become a wonderful (top) player within a short period of time, but I don't know which step i should take and how. If you have any suggestions please let me know, cause i feel my time is running, as Im 31 now.!!! Hope to here from you someday . I love you both and will watch all your games till the day i die. |

Venus and Serena, I was never interested in tennis until the two of you started competing. I think you're two of the greatest tennis players ever to play the game. I love both of you, and I am so proud of you. All the Black people I know just adore both of you and you're always in our prayers. Serena, my husband and I were privileged to have seen you in Kennywood Park (Pittsburgh, PA.) the summer of 2000 just strolling along with, who I later found out, was LaVar Arrington - very handsome guy, by the way. I was the one who approached you, we shook hands, and I told you I thought you were very pretty. I think one of the things (most of them too numerous to mention), I admire most about both of you is your resilience. It's amazing to me the way you've been able to transcend the negativity that you've had to face from your critics, and still be able to perform so extremely well; that's not easy to do. You're both phenomenal; and please don't forget in the face of adversity that you have a lot of people out there supporting you. And ultimately, with God by your side, who else do you need? |
